I love this time of year! Fayetteville has recently been blessed with a few weeks of amazingly perfect weather. The sun is out, runners and bikers can be seen all over town, the Greek theater is full of students who were beckoned by the sunshine to leave their post at the library, the farmer's market is open, Starbucks baristas are mixing up frappucinos and iced lattes and my Chaco tan line is coming along quite nicely. As much as I am enjoying every one of these things, this time of year also brings deadlines, projects, and the final push to finish up the semester strong. I can barely believe that I am two weeks away from completing my second year as a college student! Looking back on all that God has done, even in the last two years, I can't help being excited about all that He will continue to do.
As project approaches (35 days!), we are praying over the city of Juneau and every relationship God is going to place in our lives. The area code for Juneau is 907. Each girl on project has set an alarm for 9:07 as a reminder to pray over the hearts in this city. Juneau is third most unchurched state in our country and is need of a movement from God. I invite you to join us in praying for Juneau, at any time you can. God is faithful to hear us and faithful to work.
For me personally, things have come together wonderfully for this trip, but I am still in need of support. I have reached the $1000 mark, which has been a great blessing, but that is only slightly over a third of what I will need to finance my summer.
